Affaire Sanda Dia: le ministère public requiert 18 à 50 mois de prison contre les 18 prévenus

L'étudiant est décédé lors de son baptême à la KULeuven en 2018.

The chairwoman in Hasselt had noted that she was only caught to judge the charges that related to the facts of December 5, 2018 in Vorselaar. It was noted on the court record that the facts committed from the awakening of the shafts in Leuven to the departure to the log cabin in Vorselaar were not submitted to the court's assessment. Le ministère public a requis lundi, devant la cour d'appel d'Anvers, 18 à 50 mois de prison contre les 18 membres d'un cercle étudiant de la KULeuven pour la mort de Sanda Dia lors d'un baptême en 2018.

Le 5 décembre 2018, le cercle Reuzegom avait organisé une épreuve de baptême à laquelle ont pris part Sanda Dia, un étudiant de la KULeuven âgé de 20 ans, et deux autres bleus. L'activité avait débuté à Louvain et s'était poursuivie dans un chalet à Vorselaar, où la victime avait dû rester plusieurs heures dans un puits glacé. L'état de santé du jeune homme s'était nettement dégradé après avoir ingurgité de l'alcool et de l'huile de poisson. La victime était décédée deux jours plus tard à l'hôpital.
